Can I use my own custom avatar or must I use the default Marvelous Designer avatars? How to import a custom avatar into Marvelous Designer? What formats are supported?

Yep, you can import any custom avatar you want into Marvelous Designer (make sure you import it at the same scale as you exported it in so it will be the same size).
